Right now there are 2 sets of price plans in the wild.

• This article covers in detail the price plans that have been around for a few years - Personal, Business, Basic Commerce and Advanced Commerce.

• There are also new Squarespace price plans being tested - Basic, Core, Plus and Advanced. I can’t give prices for these plans yet because they are subject to change. If you visit the official Squarespace price plan page you might see the new plans and their current test pricing.

At some point the current plans will be retired and the new ones will take over. When that happens this article will get a rewrite.

The Personal plan is perfect for, you guessed it, personal websites. Think portfolios, resumes, or blogs. At just $16/month (when paid annually), it's Squarespace's cheapest plan.

The Personal Squarespace website plan also fits the bill for small businesses or nonprofits if ecommerce or custom javascript coding is not a requirement.

You get all the basics like:

• Unlimited bandwidth and storage

• Free custom domain for the first year

• SSL security

• 24/7 customer support

The catch? No ecommerce features.

If you want to sell stuff, you'll need to upgrade to the Business or Commerce plans.

Business Plan

Cost: $23/month paid annually or $33/month pay as you go

Stepping up to the Business plan unlocks some handy features for running your business.

At $23/month (billed annually), it's still pretty affordable.

On top of everything in Personal, you get:

• Ecommerce with a 3% transaction fee

• Advanced website analytics

The 3% fee on each sale can add up quick though. If you're doing lots of online sales, one of the Commerce plans will be a better deal.

Basic Squarespace Commerce Plan

Basic Squarespace Commerce is where things get serious for online stores.

For $27/month (paid annually), you can sell unlimited products without any Squarespace transaction fees.
